3M 2525 has a smooth paper backing with a natural rubber adhesive. It is a strong, dependable tape capable of meeting the demands of the most challenging splicing applications. High visibility due to orange color. High tack and holding ability provide easy handling in roll starting and closure. Can also be used in paint masking applications where a long, straight paint line is desired. Tape combines strength and heat resistence, with consistent unwind and hand-tearability.
Product Features
- Temperatures - To 300°F/149°C for up to 1 hour
- Excellent adhesion and backing strength; resistant to moist conditions.
- Colored backing offers high visibility and is easily picked up by sensing equipment
- Can be used in many holding, masking, and splicing applications
- Not recommended for outdoor applications or prolonged periods of sun exposure as tape may become very difficult to remove
